Unable to send messages to groups & displaying one tick on private messages
Today (25th October 2022) around 12.30pm(7.00AM(GMT)) WhatsApp was down. Android and IOS devices alike are affected by this outage and no official announcement about this has been made yet by WhatsApp’s official Twitter handle or any other signal.
At the same time, the point to be reminded is that it is a very good step to start using another instant messaging app as a backup.
Update:
WhatsApp has come back to normal after an outage.
However, Meta which owns WhatsApp did not give a reason for the disruption.
That outage affected users all around the world & more than 12,000 reports were posted within half an hour, according to the service status website Down Detector.
